Executive search (informally headhunting or head hunting) is a specialized recruitment service used to source candidates for senior, executive or other highly specialised positions in organizations. The method usually involves commissioning a third-party organization, typically an executive search firm, to research the availability of suitable candidates working for competitor or related businesses. Having identified possible recruits that match the client requirements, the executive search firm may act as an intermediary to investigate whether the individual might be interested in moving to a new employer and also carry out initial screening of the candidate, negotiations on remuneration and the employment contract.

Specialised executive search firm

Lexius Staffing is such a specialised executive search firm or head hunter firm (headhunter firm). We specialise in recruiting executive personnel for the legal industry, the tax industry or for banks, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and other companies subject to strict compliance regulations. We both execute searches for permanent positions with our clients as searches where specialist lawyers, tax or compliance professionals execute temporary missions on a secondment basis at our clients’ premises (interim management). Lexius Staffing realises about half of its turnover sourcing partners for law firms, partners for tax consultancy firms, including the big four, general counsels for multinational or local companies, heads of tax or tax directors and compliance officers.

The hiring process

Our consultants are themselves former lawyers, tax professionals or compliance officers with extensive experience in the industry. They have a wide range of personal contacts in their industry or field of specialty; detailed, specific knowledge of the area; and they operate at the most senior level of executive positions. They are involved throughout the hiring process, conducting detailed interviews and presenting candidates to Lexius Staffing clients selectively, when they feel the candidate meets all stated requirements and would fit into the culture of the hiring firm or company, as well.

Retainer and exclusivity

As most high-end executive search firms, Lexius Staffing works on a retainer-base only and it requires exclusivity to conduct the search.


If a candidate quits his position within 6 months or if the client ends the working relationship with the candidate within 6 months, we execute a search for another suitable candidate at no extra cost. Needless to say that this guarantee is hardly ever called upon, but it exists and it is comforting to the client.

Off-limits agreement

We commit to an off-limits agreement. It prevents us from approaching employees of our current clients as candidates for other clients.
