Our client is Neovia Logistics. Neovia Logistics is an international logistics partner for the automotive, aerospace, industrial and technological industries in delivering worldwide service parts, finished goods and inbound logistics solutions.

For its Belgian premises, it is looking for a German speaking commercial law counsel.

As corporate counsel, you:

Manage, advise and lead commercial contracts and transactions including: Logistics Services Agreements, Warehousing and Distribution Agreements, Amendments, Special Service Requests, Master Agreements, Consulting Agreements, and customer proposed terms and conditions, on a global basis;
Serve as the point of contact for internal and external customers on commercial contractual matters. Act as first line between company employees and customers, ensuring timely review and approval / reconciliation of variations;
On all standard and nonstandard contracts, provide redlined recommendations and advice and often negotiate directly with customer attorneys;
As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to company employees or other operational staff.  Manage, advise and lead the response to commercial and business disputes;
Management of outside counsel and legal spend for matters;
Develop, advise on and monitor compliance with applicable internal policies, including with respect to contract management and administration, document approval and execution, engagement of outside counsel, to ensure all actions are in the company's best interests and consistent with corporate, legal and contractual obligations;
Work with Risk Management Department to coordinate insurance requirements;
Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls, etc;
Will be required to travel about once a quarter;

Other duties as assigned.

• Master Degree in Law;
• At least 7 years legal experience gained through sophisticated law firm or in-house practice, with experience in complex commercial contract matters;
• A successful track record of handling matters independently;
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience;
• Excellent mastery of English and at least a passive knowledge of German;
• Experience with international matters a plus.
